When I was five years old, my two sisters, my parents, and I lived in a canvas tent on the side of a mountain in Western Montana for a month and a half. During that time, and with the help of our extended family, we built most of the cabin that would become our family vacation home. One of my jobs, which I took to with great enthusiasm, was to pound every nail that held the plywood flooring to the log beams on the second story. We barely got the cabin roofed-in in time for my dad to report to his new Army post, and, as I like to say, 40 years later we’re still putting the finishing touches on it.

What a terrific lens – such practical suggestions for things to give that actually might help someone! I’ll be sharing this one around. Thank you so much – the Lens of the Day is well deserved here. One area where my work is arguably superior: I paint both surfaces of the replacement board, not just the exposed face. Here the paint dries, supported on a stepladder. Fun article for me to come across this morning, I just published a peacock article last night myself.

There are also four homes in Brussels designed by Victor Horta that are prime examples of Art Nouveau, showing the transition from 19th to 20th-century architecture. Being homeless is considered a crime in some cities, adding to the fears of those with nowhere else to go. In cities where it is a crime in and of itself there is an increased likelihood of arrest. Increased exposure to police increases the likelihood of encountering a dangerous police officer.
This is such an informative lense. I got a few ideas from here. I usually would give my sons gift cards. Now I shop for their children instead. When the family starts to grow, it’s almost impossible to get gifts for everyone. But we’ve already established that that didn’t work in my case. In fact, the shoulders of the nut were so corroded that the socket couldn’t grip them. So. Thank you for the great idea!!! My husband and I built one for our daughter and she just loves it. I am still waiting for mine!
